rainy weekend (em português mais à frente)

There isn’t much you can add to a rainy weekend that started with a sick child. Saturday was indoors flea market day (loppemarked in Danish and it’s so important in this country that it will be entitled to become a blog post on another day) and a short cycling - just the girls! - to get a little fresh air as the rain gave a truce. Sunday, even raining, and because Vicente was already better, we went to a museum that we still did not know, the Ordrupgaard (http://ordrupgaard.dk/en/), a museum of small scale, where there is an temporary exhibition on Monet's work that is well worth the visit. Besides the richness of its collection it is a museum with a strong architectural profile, since the extention made on the existing building was designed by the world renowned architect Zaha Hadid (I leave here the project link for architecture lovers: http: // www.zaha-hadid.com/architecture/ordrupgaard-museum-extension/) and you can visit the home of the Danish architect Finn Juhl. We hadn’t time to visit the house, instead we have chosen to walk in the gardens, they are also full with works of art, because the kids after seeing so many pictures, with the aggravating circumstance of not being able to touch them, they need breathe some air! fim de semana de chuva

A um fim de semana de chuva que começou com um filho adoentado, não há muito que se possa acrescentar. Sábado foi dia de feira da ladra indoors (loppemarked em dinamarquês e com tanta importância neste país que dá direito a um post no blog num outro dia) e de um pequeno passeio de bicicleta a duas, para apanhar um bocadinho de ar enquanto a chuva deu tréguas. Domingo, mesmo sem a chuva dar tréguas e porque o Vicente já estava melhor, fomos descobrir um museu que ainda não conhecíamos, o Ordrupgaard (http://ordrupgaard.dk/en/), um museu de pequena escala, onde está uma exposição temporária sobre o trabalho de Monet que vale muito a pena visitar. Além da riqueza da sua colecção, é um museu com um perfil arquitectónico forte, uma vez que a extensão que o edifício existente sofreu foi projectada pela arquitecta mundialmente reconhecida Zaha Hadid (deixo o link do projecto para os amantes de arquitectura: http: // www.zaha-hadid.com/architecture/ordrupgaard-museum-extension/) e é possível visitar a casa do arquitecto dinamarquês Finn Juhl. Não tivemos tempo para visitar a casa, optámos por passear pelos jardins, também eles cheios de obras de arte, porque os miúdos depois de verem tantos quadros com a agravante de não lhes poderem tocar, precisam de ar livre! Devido à chuva, não conseguimos percorrê-los como gostaríamos, mas como temos a certeza que vamos voltar, fica para a próxima. Fotos acima.
